The best restaurants East Valley

This not-to-be-missed restaurant on the Pas de la Case offers quality cuisine served in well-stocked portions. On the menu: typical mountain dishes, charcuterie, planchas and, above all, grilled meat and fish specialties. Beware, the entrecôte and prime rib are XXL! The service room is vast, airy and very bright. The restaurant's popularity is based on the fact that it's so busy, and Paulo's kindness and hospitality have a lot to do with it. To be discovered or rediscovered: in our opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Pas de la Case.

First of all, the small room with its pink and orange colours is welcoming, as is the owner, a ski instructor and gourmet. Secondly, the food in this borda, located between Canillo and Ordino, is very good: in fact, the traditional dishes are honoured here and the famous mountain trinxat is the king on the menu. But you can also enjoy the numerous braised meats or the carpaccios. Don't hesitate to try the calçots if they are on the menu (depending on the season): this vegetable between the onion and the leek is a delight! A typical address in the region.

Between Soldeu and El Tarter, the Borda del Rector has a long-standing reputation, as it was the first in Andorra to be transformed into a typical restaurant in 1968. As always, a warm rustic decor of stone and wood, quality cuisine with traditional Andorran, French and Spanish recipes on the menu, from trinxat to foie gras and pig's trotters. Some outstanding dishes, a wide choice of wines, but also, the plus of this borda, a relaxation room with sofas in which to digest in peace!

Typical Andorran "borda" from the 19th century, which for decades has been a reference in mountain and Pyrenean cuisine. The great speciality here? Meat grilled over a wood fire (rib of beef) and Andorran soup(escudella) with onion gratin. For the rest, the menu is quite varied: escalivada (grilled vegetables and anchovies from l'Escala), top quality Iberian ham, mountain rice. Incredible desserts and impeccable service.

El Carlit has been given a brand new look, combining blonde wood, rustic pieces and design details, as well as a large heated terrace overlooking the slopes. The extensive menu offers paella, hamburgers, wood-grilled meats, lamb chops, truffade, hearty salads and homemade desserts (the profiteroles are gargantuan). The atmosphere of the Carlit is very warm, the owner circulating from table to table joking with the guests. It feels like a holiday!

The Kamikaze Surf Bar (KSB) is a trendy place in Pas de la Casa where you can have a drink or eat in a young and relaxed atmosphere. You can eat hearty grilled meats here: you can choose the size of your steak, the entrecote comes in L, XL, XXL (700 grams!). From time to time, the party is in full swing, especially during the season, and every second Friday of the month (Happy Chic evening), a bottle of champagne is offered for every bottle purchased! Nice atmosphere and beautiful setting.

La Cirera is a typical Andorran family restaurant offering wood-grilled meat and fish and traditional specialties such as Spanish tapas to share (calamari à l'andalouse, patatas bravas, pan con tomate). There are also other less traditional proposals such as very good snails, pizzas and hamburgers. A place where Andorrans and vacationers mix, at low prices. Nice welcome! The menu of the day, served at lunchtime during the week, is a pretty good deal here. Two terraces.

A brand new restaurant at Pas de la Case opened this summer under the direction of Alberto Santos. A unique 3-in-1 concept on 4 floors. On the first floor, you'll find the grocery store, charcuterie, pata negra, Iberian hams, cured meats and a fine selection of Spanish wines, Rioja, Ribera del duero... On the^1st floor, a shopping area for cigarettes, alcohol and other tax-free products... And the^2nd and^3rd are beautifully decorated dining rooms with plant walls and comfortable armchairs, serving braised meats and Spanish specialties. There's also a lovely veranda area in front of the restaurant, which seats 70 guests. Open all day from breakfast to dinner. An entrecôte at 4pm after skiing? Why not! A nice surprise to discover.

An address you must discover! Bo & Gola is a real standout among the rustic mountain establishments of the Pas de la Case: the large colorful sofas and the vast bay window overlooking the ski slopes are matched only by the very design decor of the place. The owner is Xavier, an Andorran who will offer you a home-made cuisine worked with heart and taste. The menu is wide: from the beef filet to the foie gras de la casa and the grilled octopus with paprika, there is something for everyone. A trendy and festive address!

Welcome to the highest restaurant in Europe (2,400 m!) open all year round, since 1940! The Refugi Fra Miquel, a true Andorran institution, is located at the level of the equally famous Envalira pass. Catalan and French specialties, prepared by the chef Joel Martin, will be served in a warm blond wood setting, in the vast service room. On the menu: foie gras, mountain rice, grilled meats or flambéed gambas! On the first floor, a bar and a picturesque fireplace to welcome you in all Andorran friendship!

Welcome to the temple of after-ski ! You arrive directly from the slopes on your skis (that you leave outside...), and there super atmosphere to start the party with tapas, DJ, mojito or house cocktail. We love the music of the 1980s and 1990s remixed. Superb terrace and rooftop with an incredible view.

On the kitchen side: tapas, pizzas, and copious plates well furnished. We are dazzled by the pink led candy of the window which plunges us directly in the atmosphere. Here we speak English and Catalan of course! Bravo to Miguel and his team.

A hotel, but also a new place to live and party, open since 2020 and where the manager Miguel and his team take care of everything! The restaurant offers pizzas, grills and well-cooked dishes, and we tried some hearty tapas, and meat à la plancha that melted just like you like it... Great value for money. A real find and this year's futés favorite. Plus, a superb rooftop overlooking the mountains. On the hotel side, a cozy 3-star at the foot of the slopes.

You'll notice this fine roadside establishment on the way down to Andorra la Vella from the Envalira pass. Taken over in 2018 by Vincent and Sonia, two Bretons known to smart kids, this place is a must: exceptional cuisine, well-prepared local produce and braised meat specialties with generous beef ribs. Attentive service and a decor that blends Andorran tradition with contemporary chic. Quite simply, we love it!

A big and beautiful room, very nicely decorated, a big bar with colored led for the atmosphere in this Italian restaurant which does not empty in winter. With a nice terrace and very attentive staff, you can taste pizzas (cooked in the flashy oven with golden mosaics) and pastas with all the sauces, traditional dishes and delicious house cocktails. Directly at the foot of the slopes with a breathtaking view, this address deserves a visit just next to the Olympics on the right of the resort. Congratulations to Miguel and his team for this lively place!

At the foot of the slopes at the very top of the resort, Els Flocs opens its doors to a beautiful little room with a retro 1930s decor! The heated terrace with a view is ideal in winter to watch your friends sliding down the slopes. Here, you can enjoy the royal Savoyard fondue with porcini mushrooms, a house specialty, or the house hamburger and its house fries... Also on the menu, typical and quality French and Andorran culinary proposals. Karine, the pretty owner, is all smiles. A delicious moment to share!

Perla Negra is a little cramped, and for good reason: it's simply full at dinner time. Here, no fuss, but real dishes, most of them gargantuan and all of them home-made and made to order. Clearly, the pirates are not in the plate (you'll see it's in relation to the decoration of the place), despite the evocative names given to the pizzas: the Black Pearls, the Blackbeard or the Jack Sparrow. The place is also frequented by football fans: seven screens broadcast live matches!

A must for anyone who loves Brittany and, above all, crêpes! New management in 2023. You'll find delicious, hearty galettes: wholemeal, duck breast and more. You can also choose the Angus hamburger with its tender, tasty meat, and tapas. The new trio of Manu, Julien and Fabien has also introduced a few new features. The decor (with iguanas in every corner, ceramics, portraits...) was completely redone in 2021. The terrace is always busy in summer and winter! An address worth discovering.

Its almost stealthy entrance via a building lobby makes it an address for connoisseurs. You first have to look up, spot the name of the restaurant on the first floor, then ring the intercom to get the door opened. Once installed in the pleasant room with its rustic decor, you will have to choose: cold cuts, cod in garlic mousseline, old-fashioned cabri, lamb chops or grilled rabbit? The paella and fideuà are excellent, as is the escargot a la brasa, a house specialty. One of the most authentic addresses in Pas de la Casa!

You think you're in one of those trendy white and purple lounge bars, but no! Fresh, homemade burgers are strutting their stuffed plates. Diego and Laurent have been running this burger mecca for 8 years! Find the burger of the month or the most classic ones. We will note the attention of the ones and the others at the bar. Note the covered terrace, not far from the slopes, to admire the snow while tasting the house speciality, but also pizzas, salads as well as their famous "home made" desserts!

Craving to eat 100% Italian? The Arlequi is waiting for you in front of the Palau de Gel, and gives you a pleasant welcome. As the sign reminds us of the known areas, the garden is… clown! The restaurant pays tribute to Juniper by its colours, paintings and various objects. There are no clowning on the plate, here you will find pure Italian homemade cuisine. Gnocchis to the spaghetti - through the pizzas of course - to all sauces, bologna, basil, pesto, ceps… Value for money ratio!
