A piece of the Andes in Bavaria? That's what the owners of Café de la Montaña have in mind. This little blue stall on the road to the Andechs monastery is a real eye-catcher, open winter and summer alike. On the menu are speciality fair-trade and organic coffees (don't miss their cappuccino!), as well as fresh pastries like pretzels, and above all their generous waffles. The friendly owners will be delighted to take the time to talk to you about their solidarity-based approach and concept.

Just outside the small town of Murnau, you'll find the Café Orangerie, as green as the Bavarian countryside itself. Before visiting the surrounding reserves, why not take a short coffee break?
