As a kind of busy beach hut, there's bound to be a pleasant spot to enjoy the day, with a table, hammock, deckchair, bar counter or simply on the sand in front. In terms of musical ambience and entertainment, there's something for everyone: music straight from Senegal, reggae, fire-eaters, sunset parties and, on Sundays, brunches with bare feet in the sand.

In the small town of João Galego, the locals gather at the Cadjau to drink a grogue or a beer, the place acting as a sort of meeting point. They also stop here to have a breakfast of cachupa guisado, so as not to escape the tradition. In a rustic and quiet atmosphere, they serve hearty meals, at more than affordable prices, with the menu of cabri or freshly arrived fish. Of course, there is music and parties at the weekend.
