FABULOUS WELSHCAKES

Cakes are a great culinary tradition in Wales. Welshcakes are small, individual cakes made with flour, eggs, a few spices (a mixture of several or nutmeg)... and, above all, raisins, sprinkled with sugar. They can be eaten hot or cold. In fact, they were originally baked in a frying pan, not in the oven. Freshly prepared, they're delicious!
