Founded at the end of the Hundred Years’ War, to thank God for the departure of the English, it is the largest wooden church with a separate bell tower in France! This choice of material can be explained by the lack of means of the inhabitants at the time. But the people of Honfleur turned this disadvantage into an asset. Drawing on their knowledge of shipbuilding, they built the church in the style of a ship. Its silhouette is unique, and the result is breathtaking.
