A magnificent lake where you can discover deer and other wild animals on a ten-kilometer circuit.
A beautiful lake where deer and other wild animals refresh regularly. In Amerindian, "Minnewanka" means "spirits". The "Minnewanka Loop" allows you to follow a circuit of ten kilometers, passing through Lake Minnewanka first, then by Two Jack and Johnson lakes, much smaller, but worth the detour. Especially Johnson Lake, whose waters have an unforgettable color. In winter, the shores of the lake are one of the most beautiful places in Banff where to observe the aurora borealis.

Superbe lac avec de belles randonnées à faire ! Malheureusement en aout un secteur etait fermé à cause d'un risque d'attaque d'ours. A faire au lever du jour!

Lake Minnewanka is easily accessible from Banff, for which does not want to hiking because it is beside the road. It offers beautiful views of what you can see in the West of Canada and more particularly in Alberta.
Water is of a pretty blue, a small pontoon allows the departure of the boats and many trails allow you to discover the lake from the heights.
The passage was fast returning from the discovery of Canyon Johnston but we appreciated this stop.
Very photogenic, it also serves as a backdrop to the Asian newlyweds who want to immortalise happiness in an exceptional environment.
