Great cultural square, located in the center of San José and bordered by the National Theater and the Museum of Pre-Columbian Gold.
In the center of the city, this large cultural square is bordered by the National Theater, the Museum of Pre-Columbian Gold (underground) and a row of fast food restaurants. Tourists and Ticos meet here, often under the arcades of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica. Children will play with the water jets. Older people pose to admire the passers-by. A little further on, young retirees call out to passers-by to get them to bet on sports. It is the ideal place to watch the passers-by and feel the pulse of the city.

It is one of the main squares of the historic district of San José and 2 steps from the majority of places to visit. On weekends, families come to bed and pawn, children play. In the square is a museum, on the side of the national theater and at the corner the beginning of the pedestrian street with its clock. It's the forced passage of any circuit from San José.
