This restaurant is very representative of New Orleans and its cuisine. Away from downtown, it's a good place to escape the tourist attractions and meet the locals. Although the place is noisy and crowded, the food is good and the service excellent. Try the shrimp & alligator sausage cheesecake with shrimp and alligator, or the fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade. Don't be in a hurry! Everything is prepared on the spot, to order.
