LE PECHEUR DU NORD

This recently opened restaurant stands at the northern entrance to Port Mathurin, a little way from the hustle and bustle of Rue François Leguat. Refreshed by a little breath of air, it consists of a large shaded terrace on stilts overlooking the famous river where the very first inhabitants settled. The daily specials on the slate depend on what's caught and brought in by the producers. Fish, seafood, chicken and duck are cooked Rodriguese-style, according to time-honored recipes: a winning equation, given that the restaurant is always packed!
