The highest ice fall of the Alps which is located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc where you can take a chairlift.
Not to be confused with the "sea of ice"! The Bossons glacier is the highest ice fall in the Alps. It is the route taken by Jacques Balmat and Doctor Paccard in 1786 during the first ascent of Mont Blanc. Its tongue of ice descends as close as possible to the houses. Today, the hiking trail leads, in one hour, from the village of Bossons to the glacier chalet. This walk offers an imposing spectacle on the fall of the glacier and the seracs. To "visit" it, you can also take the chairlift of the Bossons glacier.

Petit rando sympa jusqu'au bistrot où l'on verra des restes du "malabar princess". On peut aussi prendre un télésiège depuis le tremplin de saut. Le sentier continue après vers la jonction.

Balade faite en famille glacier impressionnant. Tout simplement magnifique que dire de plus dommage qu'ils fonde à vue d'œil!!! Ce glacier avec ces magnifiques Ceyrac est à ne pas manquer
Il à diminué incroyablement depuis que nous avions fais cette balade en 1972
Mais le paysage est super, Pour y accéder, on peut le faire à pied ou en télésiège. Le chemin qui mène au glacier est bien aménagé

You can admire the glacier Work from Chamonix, as it descends very low in the valley (even if it fondue) You can see it from the lake of Gaillands

Le glacier est impressionnant à voir.
Pour y accéder, 2 voies possibles : le téléphérique au pied du tremplin de saut ou à pied par la forêt (1h30 de marche).
Ces 2 sentiers vous feront arriver directement au chalet où vous pourrez vous restaurer et admirer le point de vue sur le glacier ou encore voir quelques pièces de l'avion (Malabar Princess) qui s'est écrasé il y a plusieurs années.
Une randonnée pour atteindre un second chalet est également possible plus haut.
