Gros-Horloge, one of Rouen’s symbols, with the hour hand and the sheep, the city’s emblem, represented several times.
It’s one of the town’s symbols. Remarkable first and foremost for its spelling, this building was in turn the town hall and belfry, of which a tower (1389) and a Renaissance pavilion (1527) remain, spanning the street via a low arch. You’ll find the town’s emblem - the sheep - depicted many times. On each side, a richly ornamented gilded lead dial is framed by two pilasters. You’ll notice that it has only one hand, the hour hand. The interior is a veritable time machine. Not to be missed.

Monument incontournable de la ville de Rouen .Beaucoup de marches à gravir mais cela en vaut la peine . L'audio guide permet d'avoir des explications claires et adaptées à l'endroit même où nous nous trouvons .Très bon accueil d'un jeune homme ce dimanche 28 avril au matin .Tout simplement : Merci .
