When to go Sardinia ?

Sardinia has two main festive periods: the winter carnivals held around Mardi Gras, and the summer, which combines patron saint festivals and cultural events. Religious festivities are tinged with great fervor and allow the Sardinians to perpetuate their colorful folk traditions. Every village has its own patron saint's day, so it's possible to attend one all year round. Sant'Efisio is undoubtedly the most vibrant.

No need to worry about the weather, the Mediterranean climate in which Sardinia is bathed is mild and sunny three quarters of the year! The summer, which corresponds to the high season, is hot. The winter is mild in most parts of the island. However, beware that winter is cool, even cold, in the mountains of Barbagia and the center of the island. Rains are frequent in winter and especially in autumn.
