THE PARIS COURTHOUSE
Read moreThe Paris courthouse occupies four hectares on the island of the City. Every day, there are judges, prosecutors, lawyers, gendarmes, police officers and defendants, not forgetting the public attending the trials, as well as tourists wishing to visit Sainte-Chapelle and concierge. These last two sites are part of the remains of the Palais-Royal, which found itself there from the th to the th century. It is also because of the presence on the ground of the King that courts of justice have settled in an area which has subsequently ceased to be amended and matched: monumental grid of the Palace Boulevard (in the 36 th century), buildings side of Harlay and seat of the judicial police at, Quai des Goldsmiths (th). Nevertheless, these premises were too narrow and a major project was born: that of the Judicial City of Paris in the 17 th arrondissement. The work was completed in July 2017.

THE TOWN HALL SQUARE
Read moreThe former place of Strike, located on the banks of the Seine, allowed its construction to unload goods coming by boat. In 1357, the municipality took its quarters in a house that will be replaced by a palace in the sixteenth century. Note that the current city hall is the exact reply. Major events took place here, particularly during the French Revolution and the Revolution of 1830. Today, it is the scene of various parties and gatherings. In winter, a skating rink attracts the world. In the summer, a music festival, which brings together popular groups and discoveries, stands on the screw. PLACE DAUPHINE
Read moreIt is one of the nicest squares of Paris. Very quiet, it forms a triangle at the west end of Île de la Cité, between the courthouse and the Pont-Neuf. At the time, the land by which the latter passes, the square of Green-Galant and Place Dauphine consisted of three islands attached to the island. The construction of this square dates back to 1607 and its name is in fact a tribute to the son of Henri IV, the future Louis XIII. The aesthetic of this space recalls its contemporary, place des Vosges, the ex-place Royale. It presents houses made of bricks, white stones and slates. Note that the mythical couple Simone Signoret - Yves Montand had lived in one of the buildings of this place.

VERDEAU PASSAGE
Read moreThe Verdeau passage came out of land in 1847, it bears the name of Mr. Verdeau, one of the promoters and shareholders of the company in the Jouffroy crossing. The passage is the work of the same architects as the latter and lies in the extension and the Panorama passage. More effacé and less prestigious, he has always suffered from comparison with his neighbours. But he has to be very bright because he has a high glass roof on the fish edge. All three passages offer an original and unusual location. The opening of Hotel Drouot (1852) has attracted in the passage Verdeau numerous antique shops and boutiques (antique books, old postcards, photo cameras…). For example, at 14-16, you can find a photo store… since 1901! A see around: the Grands Boulevards, the Grand Rex, the Grévin Museum, etc.
